West Ranch High in California won the Foothill League boys varsity 3-mile opener by a 47-50 margin over Hart High at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, Calif. Jonathan Valles took fourth in 15:44.00, Adrian Cantu placed sixth in 15:59.5 and Nicholas Raigosa took seventh in 16:01.5 for the Wildcats, who had Tyler Halverson secure ninth in 16:03.7. Ajay Saravanan was 21st in 16:43, Tyler Barke was 27th in 16:51 and Aiden Bowell finished 29th in 17:02.7.
